  • Shoulder Excavation can the material excavated and placed in windrow be left in area of excavation along as it is shaped to drain? What is to be placed in the shoulder excavation trench and how is it paid for
    The excavated material is to be shaped and graded on the front slope after the shoulders are complete. The trench is filled with aggregate. It is paid per square yard for ADD ROCK. (07/24/2018)

  • In the special provisions under the traffic control plan and limitations of construction, note 2 states that all side roads within the project limits are to have ROAD WORK AHEAD, NO PASSING ZONES NOT STRIPED NEXT X MILES, and ROAD CONSTRUCTION NEXT X MILES. In the past the ROAD WORK AHEAD was put on all side roads, but the other 2 signs on mainline. What is the intent of the other 2 signs?
    An addendum will be issued to the special provision. Note 2 of the Limitations of Construction will be revised on sheet 2. (07/18/2018)
