The Buckheart Mine Highwall Remedial Project is for the repair of an eroded sideslope and drainageways at the Buckheart Mine abandoned mine site by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources using federal abandoned mined lands funds.

The plan set does not appear to show the existing grades in the areas of work. Can you please provide a plan set that shows the existing grades so we can compare to proposed grades?
A plan set showing existing grades is not available for grade comparison. We have estimated that 3,555 cubic yards of earthen material is needed for a 1' average thickness over the eroded sideslope area and 547 cubic yards of earthen material is needed for a 1' average thickness over the eroded ditch areas for a total of 4,102 cubic yards. This material will be obtained from the borrow area. Placement and grading is considered incidental to earth excavation. Surveys of the borrow area will be conducted before and after excavation to determine the payment quantity. (02/23/2021)
