  • Are there any soil borings available?
    An addendum is forthcoming on this issue. A boring log will be added to the Special Provisions. (06/05/2019)

  • Can the box culvert and end sections be placed in standing water? If not how will dewatering be compensated? Who is responsible for obtaining permits for construction of a temporary water retention system in the area designated in the plans as a wetland?
    It was the intention of the plans to have 540.04 of the Standard Specifications govern the cost of diverting the water flow and/or dewatering of the work area depending on the conditions during construction of the project. The area designated as wetlands in the plans corresponds to approximately elevation 390.00 or normal pool and higher. If the contractors temporary water retention system can be built within these limits there should not be any impacts. If the contractor intends to impact the wetlands, then it would be their responsibility for obtaining the necessary permits and to mitigate those wetlands. (06/05/2019)
