  • The award period time limit has been changed to 90 days. Is it possible that IDA could issue the PDTR to the apparent low bidder as soon as the award is imminent? This would allow the contractor and subcontractors the opportunity to address possible material certification and Buy American Preferences Act issues, and hopefully avoid a delayed start.
    The apparent low bidder can coordinate such requests with IDOT Division of Aeronautics Construction & Materials Section. The Division will accommodate such requests to the extent possible at such time. (01/06/2021)

  • Does the Airport have any events scheduled that could prohibit the start of construction immediately following the award?
    The airport tentatively has a Fly-In scheduled for late June 2021, but it is hard to determine at this time if this event will actually take place. Even if this event does move forward, the airport does not want to delay construction start and is willing to work it around the project. (01/05/2021)
