Contract Specifics
Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57)

  • For locations 1 and 2, traffic control standard 701601 is referenced. This standard is for a lane drop, however i don't see a lane where traffic can drive except for shoulders. Is this the intent, or do these locations need a more appropriate flagging setup such as standard 701201?
    Traffic Control and Protection Standard 701601 will used for Locations 1 and 2 with Lane Jog W 1-4 signs in place of left/right lanes closed ahead signs to utilize the wide shoulders within this section as referenced on page 5 of the Special Provisions. (10/29/2018)
