  • In regard to the prevailing wage clause, would you agree that litter picking work falls under the classification of “Laborer”
    The Department does not dictate the trade used for specific tasks. It is the Contractor's responsibility to determine the workforce makeup of the contract. (01/07/2020)

  • Per special provision part 8 of general requirements a $500,000.00 Bond is required which the cost will be appropriated across the total miles of the contract. Per special provision interpretation of quantities, some or all of the work may be deleted with no recourse by the contractor. Please consider adding an item for mobilization or bond in order for the contractor to cover the cost of the bond if all work is deleted.
    No changes will be made to the Plans or Specifications. The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications published online. (01/07/2020)

  • In regards to entrance and exit ramps. What are the limits of litter/debris removal when no fence or multiple fences and barriers are present. ie... cloverleaf interchanges and interstate to interstate interchanges.
    Litter Picking shall be performed as directed by the Engineer within State ROW. (01/06/2020)

  • Please clarify if slopewalls under the bridges are included in the litter/debris removal.
    Litter Picking of Slopewalls up to the Pedestrian Barrier/ fences is included as part of the contract. (01/06/2020)
