  • Will there be an electronic available for this project?
    AutoCAD files will be made available which will include horizontal linework and spot elevations. No 3D model has been developed for this project. The drawings were not developed with the intent or purpose of utilizing them for development of supplemental designs, models or any other purpose. They will be provided solely as a courtesy and Brown & Roberts, Inc. assumes no liability for those using them for any purpose. An acknowledgement from the Contractor will be required showing they understand and agree that the drawings will be utilized at their own risk and that they will not transmit them to any other parties without assuming full liability for their use.   • On page 13 there is a detail for the existing tie down that shows a 24" deep footing. Do the new tie downs have a foundation or just poured into the 6" pavement?
    The new tie downs/mooring eyes will be cast into the new pavement with 36” long rebar bent 45 degrees horizontally in the center of the proposed pavement slab. There will be no additional footing below the pavement. The existing footings will be filled with aggregate and compacted as specified in the special provisions. (02/26/2020)

  • One page under #7 it says that there is a Special Provisions Date January 10, 2020 for Construction of Airports. Can you provided a link or directions on how to find the newest special provisions. The most recent I could find on the website was from 2012.
    The most recent Illinois Standard Specifications for Construction of Airports is dated April 1, 2012. However, the Special Provisions for contract PL017 are dated January 10, 2020 and are amended as necessary to reflect changes made in the Standard Specifications of April 1, 2012. (02/26/2020)
