  • Will there be any additional information provided in regards to the "underground storage tank removal" pay item?
    The Preliminary Environmental Site Assessment (PESA) identified several potential and former underground storage tanks (UST) on properties where construction activities are expected. Because all of the tanks could not be cleared with a desk-top evaluation that was conducted for this project , it is the policy of BDE to include a single UST removal as a provisional pay item, in the event a tank is encountered. It is also the policy of the Department that if any tanks or their appurtenances are encountered, even if only 6 inches of soil is being excavated, the tank is required to be removed. (02/20/2020)
