Is this contract subject to the apprenticeship training certification? And since this is a Small Business Initiative, are other companies allowed to bid?
Item 117-76N34 is advertised as a Small Business Initiative. In accordance with Section 45-45 of the Illinois Procurement Code and the rules of the Department, only bids from qualified small businesses will be considered for award. No construction business is a small business if its annual sales and receipts exceed $14,000,000. Item 117-76N34 is a State-funded project and Certification K will need to be addressed in the bid.
