  • On the left side of the roadway from Sta 534+85 to approximately Sta 556+/-85 (2200 lf.) there is guardrail that extends over the edge of the existing shld. There is no pay item for guardrail and block removal and replacement. The shoulder milling and repaving cannot be accomplished in this area as the typical sections show without removing the rail. Either guardrail and traffic control pay items should be added or the shoulder work in this area modified or deleted.
    An addendum is forthcoming on this issue. Shoulder milling and resurfacing operations shall extend to 1’ away from the face of the existing guardrail, or as approved by the Engineer. (06/05/2018)

  • I do not believe there are enough working days on this project for it to be completed without an accelerated, costly, construction schedule. Is that IDOT's intent (to accelerate construction)?
