Contract Specifics
Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57)

  • What is the intent of the closed signs as shown on sheet 11 of the plans. If some of these are to be required for this project, please provide how they are to be paid for. Also, please provide a quantity for each detour and locations so that it may be accurately be bid.
    The CLOSED sign shown on sheet 11 is placed on highway exit signs of closed exits. These should be used on any highway signs which specify the closed exits, Exit 1 to Cahokia/IL 3 South and St. Clair Ave from Exit 3A. Listed below are the quantities of the signs for each closed road along with approximate locations of the signs. Exit 3A onto St. Clair Ave : 1 sign Location 1 : 38°38'0.90"N, 90° 8'37.89"W Exit 1 onto Cahokia: 5 signs Location 1 : 38°37'44.83"N, 90° 9'38.34"W Location 2 : 38°37'38.13"N, 90° 9'48.84"W Location 3 : 38°37'30.39"N, 90° 9'53.15"W Location 4 : 38°37'14.78"N, 90° 9'58.21"W Location 5 : 38°37'5.99"N, 90°10'2.85"W A total of 6 of these signs will be necessary for this project. This work shall be paid for at the contract unit price lump sum for WIDE LOAD SIGNING as per the special provisions and SOQ. (04/15/2021)
