| Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57) |

Regarding access:
1.) The wood trestle south of the bridge has several ties that are rotted fairly badly. Can you tell me what is the load capacity of this trestle?
2.) The I-270 median between the 2 bridges is protected on each side by guard rail and cable barrier. May we stage equipment in this median? If so, what MOT signage, etc. would be required?
1. IDOT does not have that data available as it is under the jurisdiction of Madison County Transit. 2. The area between the guardrail and cable median barrier may be used for staging purposes. This would require the traffic control setup along the shoulder as shown in Highway Standard 701101. (04/14/2020)
