  • Currently there is a substantial amount of concrete rubble under and around the existing bridge that is not identified in the bid documents. How will the State compensate the successful bidder for the removal of this material?
    Referencing Section 203 - Channel Excavation from the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction: 203.01 Description: Channel Excavation shall consist of the removal and satisfactory disposal of all materials encountered in the construction of new stream channels and in widening, deepening, or straightening existing stream channels. All material removed within the channel and is not being reused, including the concrete rubble, shall be included in the cost of Channel Excavation. (This of course excludes rock excavation and slope wall removal. Those two items are not applicable for the construction of this project) (04/12/2019)

  • On Total Bill of Material on Sheet 8 of 19, there is a Note 1 next to Setting Piles in Rock. Note 1 is See Special Provisions. The same note and reference is on the Bill of Material on Sheet 13 of 19. There is no special provision for Setting Piles in Rock included in the project documents.
