Contract Specifics
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 09:00 AM at Turkey Track Road, West of Cambria, IL. Location Notes - Meet on Turkey Track Road, a half mile north of Iron Horse Drive. See map for location details. Meeting Description - Pre-Bid Meeting will include a tour of all three reclamation sites for this project. . Click here for map
Project is located one mile west of Cambria in Williamson County and includes three sites to be reclaimed: north and south of Vermont Rd, about 1 mile north of Sycamore Rd., east and west of Downey Crossing Rd, and a half mile west along Iron Horse Dr.

  • Will it be acceptable to procure the Entrance Gate from Blair's Farm and Fleet, with the color of the gate to be green? If so, please confirm that the material certs can be waived for this item, if bought from there. If not, please advise on acceptable manufacturers.
    The successful bidder may submit information, shop drawings and certifications to show compliance with the plans and specifications. No excepted material approvals will be considered until a contract is established. (07/30/2019)

  • Special Provision page 31 Article 630.06 Shoulder Stabilization at Guardrail States that when driving guardrail posts through existing shoulders, shoulder stabilization, or other paved areas, the posts shall be driven through cored holes. This provision does not appear to be applicable for this contract. If applicable please specify which guardrail locations apply.
    The bidders shall “make all required inspections” of the project site area. There are no known visible areas of paved shoulders or stabilized shoulders. (07/30/2019)

  • Special Provision page 31 Article 630.08 States the removal and disposal of existing guardrail will not be paid for but shall be considered as incidental to the excavation required in the contract. Please quantify and show the existing guardrail for this contract if this Article is applicable.
    The bidders shall “make all required inspections” of the project site area. There are no existing guardrails in the areas designated for proposed guardrail. (07/30/2019)

  • Sheet 3 of the plans has been issued twice in lieu of sheet 3 of the plans. Please advise when this sheet will be issued.
    The error with the plan sheets has been addressed. The revised plan sheet set can be found in the Plans and Special Provisions for this contract. (07/10/2019)
